Toronto Light Up NightThe Toronto Coalition would like to thank all who assisted with the 31 st Annual Toronto Light Up Night. This would include the businesses, organizations and individuals who gave generously to the event.The rain which occurred that night did not cancel the event nor stop the citizens from attending. Thank you to those who were part of the program: Rev. Jane Schockey, Frank McEwen, Dr. Tom Graham, John Greiner, Don Clarke, Jay Foster, Annie Silverthorn, Toronto Elementary students: Taylor & Carolina Wolf, Kylie & Mason Newsom and Hayden Coburn for lighting the tree . I would like to recognize the following: the Toronto Beautification Committee, Toronto First Presbyterian Church, THS Girls Basketball Team, Toronto Elementary students who made the tree decorations and Toronto City Workers. Last but not least, the citizens of Toronto who purchased the Luminaries in memory of or in honor of their loved ones. Three hundred and fifty t Luminaries were purchased. This number includes Luminaries which were purchased by Clarke Funeral Home and Foster Funeral Home in remembrance of those for whom they provided services this year. Proceeds from Light Up Night were donated to the following: Helping Hands Food Pantry, Kiwanis Coats for Kids, Toys 4 Toronto, Christmas with a Cop, Toronto Student Needs and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
